Gerber Life Call Center Opening

This week, Gerber Products Co, a subsidiary of Nestle, broke ground on a new answering services center for Gerber Life that will be opening by the end of the year. This center will be replacing the current Freemont center and will house all 200 of the current center's employees, as well as 40 new employees that the company stated will be brought on in 2010. Slated to measure 35,000 square feet, the plans for the call center are budgeted at an impressive $8 million.

With the current state of the economy, jobs are precious and the state of Michigan is doing whatever they can to keep Gerber Life maintain its operations in Newaygo County -- Gerber is currently the largest employer in the county. In exchange for keeping their live answering service operations in the Fremont area, Gerber will be receiving $43 million in tax breaks spread out over the next 15 years.

Of course, not every company out there can afford to invest as much in their call center service as Gerber has, even when that service is instrumental to the success of their business. That's why many companies are turning to outsourcing to handle their customer communication needs; they can have the benefit of a large experienced staff on hand to handle orders, registration and other needs, all without breaking the bank. If your company is currently struggling with the influx of customer calls and needs a cost-effective solution to keep up, it might be time to consider outsourcing to an experienced company like AmeriCall.
